The Girl with Music

By Aviva Rothschild

She was something of a devil
But a minor one, with short horns
And six strings and cymbals
Clashing in the background
Muted for conversation,
But only that

About the Author

You can read all about my thrilling life on the About the Editor page. This poem was something I wrote many years ago and forgot about. I found it recently while rummaging through piles of old documents. There were five stanzas on the page, and I had crossed out all of them except this one. Reading under the Xs, I could see why! I have no idea why I wrote this thing, but it sounded nice, so I decided to post it.

Tell Aviva what you thought of her poem!
